About

Spiritual Awakening is an editorial reflection on the inner journey — a quiet space for essays on meditation, mindfulness, wisdom traditions, and the slow art of waking up to what's already here.

Who We Are

We're a small editorial collective of practitioners, writers, and teachers from contemplative traditions including Zen Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, Christian mysticism, and modern psychology. None of us claim to be enlightened. We're walking the path alongside you.

What You'll Find Here

  • Practice essays — meditation methods, breathwork, embodiment work explained without jargon.
  • Reflections on wisdom texts — slow readings of the Tao Te Ching, Bhagavad Gita, Rumi, Meister Eckhart.
  • Inner work — shadow, surrender, the difficult middle of the path no one talks about.
  • Honest accounts — what doesn't work, what backfires, what we get wrong.

Our Editorial Stance

We don't sell certainty. We don't promise transformation in 30 days. The path is long, often dull, occasionally heartbreaking, and sometimes — quietly — luminous. We try to write about all of it.

We're independent. We don't take money to promote teachers, books, or retreats. When we recommend something, it's because we've engaged with it for at least a year.

Languages

Essays are published in English. Selected pieces appear in Turkish translation when there's editorial overlap with our Istanbul-based readership.
